You deserve to know. So here it is.
I am an independent insurance broker. I receive commissions from multiple carriers — but that does not mean I work for them. My recommendations are not for sale. No carrier owns my loyalty, and none can direct who I recommend or why.
Here's how the math actually works: insurance carriers pay brokers a modest commission for doing the legwork that would otherwise fall on their call centers — helping you understand your options, navigate enrollment periods, complete applications, and stay on top of annual plan reviews at renewal time. That service doesn't disappear after you enroll. I stay on as your designated broker, which means you have a real person to call — not a queue.
If you didn't work with a broker, you'd be calling into a carrier's call center, starting from scratch every time. A dedicated broker provides continuity, personalized guidance, and someone with context about your situation — something a call center simply cannot replicate.
Most importantly: this costs you nothing extra. Your premium is exactly the same whether you enroll through me or call the carrier directly. The commission comes out of what the carrier has already budgeted for distribution — not your pocket.
A note on accuracy
Commission rates listed here reflect my best current knowledge and are updated in good faith. Carrier compensation structures change, and the figures shown may not always reflect the most current rates. Medicare Advantage & Supplement Plans
Medicare commissions are set by carriers and updated frequently — often more than once a year. Because rates change often, and because there is no regulatory requirement to publish them, I've chosen not to list them here where they could quickly become outdated and misleading.
If you'd like to know the current commission for a specific Medicare plan, please reach out directly — I'm happy to share the most up-to-date figure for whatever plan you're considering.
